New to YINA skincare? You might be surprised by the unique textures, fragrances, and even occasional color variations of our products. Unlike conventional skincare products, our natural formulations may not always look, smell, or feel exactly the same. But don't worry, this is a testament to the authenticity of our ingredients.
These sensory differences are actually proof that the product you have are made with ingredients derived from nature. We source for and extract raw ingredients ourselves which is why every batch may have slight color or scent variances.
Here's a closer look at some of these unique characteristics:
Fragrance
When you look at the ingredients list of a conventional skincare product, you might come across the term "fragrance". This is a catch-all term for a variety of chemicals and additives that are used to give the product a scent. The FDA doesn't require companies to disclose the exact ingredients that make up a fragrance, so you're essentially putting your trust in the brand that they're using safe and non-irritating ingredients.
In contrast, YINA products are formulated without any artificial fragrances. Instead, we use small amounts of plant-based essential oils to give our products a natural scent. These essential oils are not only provide olfactory pleasure, but they also offer other benefits, such as being antioxidant and therapeutic.
So, while our products might not smell like your typical artificially scented skincare products, you can rest assured that you're using products that are made with safe, natural ingredients.
Color
When it comes to natural skincare products, minor variations in color are completely normal, and in fact, to be expected. This is because natural ingredients are not always the same color from batch to batch. For example, the oils in our botanical serums are extracted from different plants, such as camellia, perilla, and blackberry seed, which can vary in color depending on the season, growing conditions, and other factors. This means that the end resulting color of botanical serums may also vary.
In order to create a uniform color, many conventional products have to use synthetic ingredients. This means that the color of a conventional skincare product may be the same every time, even if the ingredients are not.
At YINA, we believe that the benefits of natural ingredients outweigh the need for a uniform color. We are committed to using pure botanicals whenever possible, and we accept that this may mean that the color of our products may vary. We believe that this is a small price to pay for the benefits of using what mother nature gives us.
