What does "bioadaptive" mean?
Bioadaptive means the cleanser is formulated to support your skin's own ability to regulate oil, moisture, and pH, rather than forcing a single result. It uses gentle sugar- and coconut-derived cleansing agents that don't strip the skin barrier, and a Traditional Chinese Medicine botanical complex — white tea, poria, atractylodes, and pearl — with ingredients chosen to balance one another. The result is one cleanser that works across seasons, climates, and skin types.
Does it remove makeup?
It removes light makeup and any residue left after your first cleanse. For full or waterproof makeup and sunscreen, remove those first, then use the Bioadaptive Cleanser as your second cleanse.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. It's formulated for all skin types, including sensitive and easily stressed skin, and is free from sulfates, harsh detergents, mineral oil, parabens, and phthalates. As with any new product, patch test first.
Does it foam?
No. It's a creamy, non-foaming cleanser. Apply to dry skin, massage, then wet your hands to emulsify before rinsing.

The Bioadaptive Cleanser is hydrating and nourishing for the skin, and has a naturally fresh and grounding fragrance. I don't wear makeup so it easily clears the residue of the day from my face and neck.
The only reason for the 4-star rating is the packaging: the tube for the pump dispenser doesn't reach the bottom of the beautiful glass bottle it comes in and the last remaining oz. needs to be poured out vs. pumped out.
Overall, I love all the YINA products and have enjoyed using them in my daily skin care & breast health rituals for years.
Each time I use this cleanser it's like a spa day for my face. The creaminess of the cleanser, the light scent, the way my skin feels afterward! This is the only cleanser I'll use!

Yina cleanser is fantastic! Cleanses without drying. My first non-foaming cleanser so it took me a minute to realize it works best if applied to dry face and just one pump is fine (i.e. “less is more”). Love it!

I LOVE this cleanser. It smells delicious and cleanses so well. I can never use another cleanser again. I have dry/reactive skin and this is perfect for daily use. Also great for use after oil cleansing too. My holy grail cleanser.
I use the cleaner with a gentle exfoliating cloth and my skin loves me for it. It seems to softly and effectively clean my skin, leaving it somewhat moisturized. Nothing harsh or drying. It feels like true self- care.
