Yuzu, aka Citrus junos, is a citrus fruit native to China that made its way to, and became a well-loved ingredient in Japan and Korea. A hardy evergreen, Yuzu is hybrid between mandarin orange and ichang papeda (another evergreen chinese citrus). Yuzu is usually not eaten as a fruit but commonly used as a culinary ingredient due to its distinct aroma.
This asian citrus is packed with vitamins and powerful antioxidants - such as carotenoids, anthocyanins, and flavonoids. It also has anti-inflammatory, and anti-viral benefits. Perfect to combat the pesky flu bug that’s going around right now.
Studies also show that yuzu may help with blood circulation, regulate blood sugar and improve cognitive function. It’s most prized for its powerful aromatic properties. The scent is a beautiful blend of grapefruit, lime, bergamot and mandarin but with incredible lasting citrus + floral notes. Cut yuzu in thin slices and remove the seeds. Add yuzu slices to green tea or just steep in hot water for an incredibly uplifting tisane.

made ones from asian markets or make your own yuzu infused honey.
